Practical and useful app even for vets such as myself. I have had this app for 6 months and recently had the privilege of meeting the creator, Dr. Thal. His commitment to horse health both in his daily work at his horse hospital and in constantly adding helpful info to the app is remarkable. I highly recommend Horse Side Vet Guide to anyone interested in the well-being of horses.

It doesnt help me much if it doesnt download, even after restarting and trying to reinstall, all while on Wifi...I hope it gets working or thats $5 down the drain...

Has good info. Sometimes is a bit simplistic. Updating it is a pain in the neck. It takes FOREVER. *** update: synching the update still takes FOREVER. I cant get it to finish. Been 20 mins now

Update - great customer support too! This little app has been a great resource for choke, colic, minor wounds and a few other assorted issues with my guys, who like to get in trouble! Helps me with the vet visit for sure because I always forget what to ask my vet, and the app gives me some ideas to start the conversation. LOVE LOVE the videos and the illustrations - please make more!! I only wish it had a record keeping function for keeping track of vet and farrier appointments, vaccines, and other health history for my horses - but still totally worth the $$.

All I wanted was to see was an anatomical picture of the horses skeleton . I couldnt find it . Please put this in your "app" or tell me the search word I failed to figure out on my own . Thank you, Jerry Koons

So often I am disappointed in the apps I purchase, but not this one. It is easy to navigate and contains more info on horse health than I will ever (hopefully) need. The info on horse colic alone is impressive and the images and videos are very helpful. I recommend this app to anyone that owns, leases or trains horses.

So far I like this app and after being in the vet field for some 27 odd years it seems to be pretty informative. However I did notice one little thing that should be clarified. If youre told not to use a drug or do something to a horse I feel like you should explain why you shouldnt use that drug or use that technique. For example you say " Acepromazine should not be used in stallions". Why??? You should explain why simply because it really should be used with caution in geldings for the same reason. And that reason is paralysis of the penis and the inability to retract the penis. All stallion and gelding owners need to know this for the same reason. No one wants that to happen to a male horse. The implications are not so good. I would think liability on your part would warrant a simple explanation. Otherwise a good app. Ive enjoyed perusing this app so far.

Have used this app over and over. Great information, illustrations, and videos. Suggested a change for search engine and it was made in less than 12 hours. Very responsive with great information. Horse people have needed this info with this ease of access for a long time.
